I was asked by my friend Tommy Chamberlain to contribute to his Museum project "The World of Jesus Exhibition" with some of the text and images for artifact posters for the display. I provided text for the
- Roman gods (see poster below)
- Arrival of Rome in Judea
- The Final Week of Jesus
- The Seleucids and the Rise of the Hasmoneans
- and Roman Roads (see posters below)
Here is the results of some of the posters and display. It is currently traveling around the United States with about 100 artifacts from the New Testament Roman Period. I especially like this poster on Roman Roads. The top photo is of the Roman road I took at Ephesus while the Roman Mile Marker (on the right) wat taken from the display in the Mt. Nebo Museum, Jordan.
It was on display in Katy Tx in 2018 and Houston Texas in 2019. It is presently on display at The Appalachian Center for the Arts in Pikeville, KY. Not sure where it is off to next. If your in the area it is well worth seeing this amazing exhibit with many archaeological artifacts from the time of Jesus, over 2000 years old.
Here is a YouTube Video of Tommy and Abigail explaining some of the display. We all dug together at Shiloh, Israel and they are well experienced with the subject matter.
